Mitigate and manage malicious cyber-attacks

Strengthen web security and create better end-user experience by eliminating and shaping Bot traffic

Malicious bots are used by threat actors to effectively compromise payment card holder information, scrape content, enable Ad fraud, and carry out application layer DDoS attacks amongst other suspicious activities. While they can cause application and API outages that impact end-user experience, legitimate bot traffic is a necessary part of the Internet.

CDNetworks is a trusted content delivery network with comprehensive cloud security solutions. Hosted in the cloud, CDNetworks' Bot Manager platform offers a real-time dashboard, reporting, analytics, and alerts to continuously provide you with insights into all web activities, ensuring the optimal security profile to protect your web applications without sacrificing performance.

CDNetworks' Bot Manager is fully integrated with our global CDN, and managed 24/7. Compute resources that are deployed in the next generation botnets have fixed malware, which can be updated by the command and control server. Botnets typically have headless browsers running in the background, so users that are compromised don't realize their computer is being used to carry out a cyber-attack.

CDNetworks' Bot Manager utilizes counter-measures such as IP rate limiting, CAPTCHA protection, and JavaScript Challenges to identify and block bad and/or suspicious bot activity, while ensuring legitimate bot traffic from Google, Facebook, and others continue to access your web applications as intended.

Features & Benefits

CDNetworks sends a JavaScript challenge to every client, attacker, and real end-user. Legitimate browsers will pass without the users' knowledge while Bots, typically not equipped with JavaScript, will fail and become blocked.

CDNetworks can identify normal usage patterns for each web application based on analysis of legitimate user behavior and provides customizable security postures for Bots that deviate from the standard usage behavior, activity, or frequency.

Based on 50+ attributes, a hashed signature of both virtual and real browsers will be generated. These proprietary signatures are then leveraged for real time correlation to identify and block malicious Bots.

End users can recognize and remember good Bots to allow them access.

Intended to differentiate between Bots and humans. Unlike humans, scripted Bots generally are unable to solve CAPTCHA and will repeat words and numbers.

CDNetworks uses this traffic control mechanism to detect and delay traffic created by suspicious Bots, while at the same time prioritizing and white listing authorized traffic.
