CDNetworks launches edge platform built on Kubernetes and Docker

International content delivery network provider CDNetworks has launched an Edge Computing Platform Service (ECP) that will let customers easily deploy and scale-up their microservice container-based applications with secure, ultra-low latency, high-bandwidth computing.

The CDNetworks ECP is a container orchestration system built on Kubernetes and Docker for developers to write container-based applications once and deploy them everywhere. Features include app auto deployment, security, open APIs, public IP Addresses for customer pods, a customer portal and IPv6 support, among others. Kubernetes features an automated application deployment, self-healing, automatic rolling updates and Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA).
