Aug 24, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) — CDNetworks has received PCI-DSS certification renewal, ensuring that data security measures adhere to the standard.
In addition, CDNetworks said it meets the Business Associate requirements for HIPAA Privacy Rule compliance. Compliance with both of these data protection standards validates the security of customer data around the world.
“PCI Certification and adherence to HIPAA standards make a big difference to our financial, eCommerce, and employee benefits customers,” said Jerry Miller, Vice President of Technology, CDNetworks. “It means assurance that customer and employee data is handled in a way consistent with standards developed for credit card and health information protection.” According to a release, the PCI security standard dictates a set of requirements for enhancing payment account data security. It was developed by the founding members of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis. CDNetworks’ Dynamic Network Acceleration adheres to the technical requirements of the PCI standards regarding system- and application-level policies that include log data centralization, monitoring, and reporting for security and audit purposes.
“CDNetworks has shown, once again, that Dynamic Network Acceleration adheres to the requirements of the PCI standards, thus ensuring better data protection for their customers,” says Ray Zadjmool, President of PCI QSA Company, Tevora.
HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. CDNetworks noted that this set of regulations was enacted as a standard for protecting healthcare patient data on the internet. CDNetworks meets the HIPAA Privacy Rule standards, including risk assessment and documentation, encryption, and audit controls. CDNetworks does not store customer data and has no access to unencrypted customer data.
