CDNetworks Achieves Second Year of PCI-DSS Certification
Compliance with both PCI and HIPAA standards verifies data protection for CDNetworks’ customers
San Jose, Calif. – Aug. 28, 2012 – CDNetworks has received PCI-DSS certification renewal, ensuring that data security measures adhere to the standard. In addition, CDNetworks meets the Business Associate requirements for HIPAA Privacy Rule compliance. Compliance with both of these data protection standards validates the security of customer data around the world

The PCI security standard dictates a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security. It was developed by the founding members of the PCI Security Standards Council, including American Express, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis. CDNetworks’ Dynamic Network Acceleration adheres to the technical requirements of the PCI standards regarding system- and application-level policies that include log data centralization, monitoring, and reporting for security and audit purposes.

HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. This set of regulations was enacted as a standard for protecting healthcare patient data on the internet.
